Sparrow Spring LEARNING
A thoughtful Friday drop-off enrichment program for K–5 homeschool students in Southern Indiana — rooted in Biblical truth, academic creativity, and relational community.

LEARNING
Enrollment Opens June 15, 2026
Homeschooling is beautiful and deeply rewarding.
For the Christian parent, it is more than an educational choice—it is the work of discipleship. We are called to teach, guide, and point our children toward Christ in all things.
And yet, this work is not always easy. It often comes with real and important questions:
How do I faithfully carry this weighty responsibility?
How do I provide both strong academics and meaningful spiritual formation?
Who will walk alongside my family in this journey?
At Sparrow Spring Learning, we desire to come alongside homeschooling families in this work. We offer a space where Biblical truth and thoughtful, age-appropriate learning come together—where students are encouraged to grow in both knowledge and character, and where families are supported, not replaced.
As we labor in this calling, we are reminded of the encouragement found in Galatians 6:9:
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Homeschooling is beautiful. It is meaningful. And yes—it can be hard.
But you do not have to do it alone.
— Voddie Baucham
“Education is discipleship. Whoever is educating our children is discipling them.”
Our Mission
Our Core Values
Sparrow Spring Learning exists to provide K–5 homeschool students with thoughtful, academically strong, and Biblically grounded enrichment in a relational, engaging environment.
Through intentional teaching, meaningful resources, and opportunities for connection, we aim to support not only students but the whole family—encouraging growth in knowledge, Christ-like character, and community.
A Biblical Foundation
We believe all learning is rooted in Truth and shaped by a Bible-centered worldview.
Education as Discipleship
We view education as an opportunity to form the whole child - body, mind, and heart.
The Central Role of Family
We seek to support - not replace - parents, recognizing the family as the primary influence in a child's education.
Pursuit of Excellence
We are committed to thoughtful, high-quality instruction that challenges and engages each student.
Meaningful Community
We believe that God created us to exist within community, and we are creating a space where families can build meaningful friendships.
A Friday Rhythm
Sparrow Spring Learning is a drop-off enrichment program designed to support your homeschool needs and interests. Students may enroll in one to four classes each semester (16 weeks), allowing families the flexibility to choose what works best for them.
Multi-Age Learning
Community Play
Students K-5th grade will collaborate with one another as they learn family-style, with opportunities for younger students to learn from the older ones and older ones to gain responsibility and model character and knowledge for the younger ones.
At the start of the day, the end of the day, and between each scheduled class, students have an opportunity for free discovery, play, and social time. Sparrow Spring Learning has a varied array of available educational materials such as books, art supplies, and learning manipulatives that encourage creativity among students.
Small Class Size
Learning Extension
Each class at Sparrow Spring Learning will intentionally enroll no more than a total of 18 students. This will ensure that each student is seen, heard, helped, and given space to belong and meaningfully connect with others.
To best support the whole family, Sparrow Spring Learning will provide each student (for each class) a weekly resource which can help extend learning beyond the classroom, at home, before he or she returns the following week. Think activity ideas, vocabulary to master, questions to ponder, writing exercises, and more! In this way, parents (and even siblings) are invited to participate in all that is happening at Sparrow Spring Learning.
Enrichment Classes
Students have the option to enroll in one to four different classes on Friday mornings.
Each class will last fifty minutes, with a fifteen-minute break between each class, which can be used for pick-up/drop-off timing, eating a snack (not provided), or social free time.

Class Offerings
History & Geography
Students will explore people, places, and events from around the United States through stories, songs, maps, and hands-on activities and games. This class is designed to build curiosity about God’s world while helping students understand how place shapes history and connects to their lives.
Science
Through observation, experimentation, and discussion, students will engage with scientific concepts and historical discoveries in a hands-on and engaging way. This class encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a growing appreciation for the order and design found in creation.
Spanish
Students will be introduced to the Spanish language through interactive lessons that include speaking, listening, and simple vocabulary practice. With songs, games, repetition, and conversation, students will begin building confidence in a new language in a fun and approachable way as they also consider the Author of all language, who calls people of every tongue to Himself.
Art
This class, which will present art historically from Creation to the contemporary, will provide students with opportunities to explore creativity through a variety of artistic techniques and materials. Students will develop skills in expression, observation, and design while enjoying the process of creating.
Meet the Teacher
Mrs. Amanda Cahill
Hi, I’m Amanda Cahill, the founder of Sparrow Spring Learning.
As a homeschool mom with four children (and a fifth due this summer!) currently ranging in ages from 18 months to seven years old, I’ve experienced both the beauty and the challenge of educating my children in a way that is thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in our Christian faith.
Over time, I have seen that not only I but many homeschool families have a desire or need for something more: a consistent, high-quality, supportive enrichment experience that provides meaningful opportunities for students to learn and families to build relationships.
Sparrow Spring Learning was created out of that desire—to offer a place where children are known, challenged, and encouraged, and where families feel supported in the important, hard work they are doing.
It is a joy and a privilege to come alongside other families in this journey.
